First Results: Obama Takes Dixville Notch Away From The GOP
Barack Obama won the first official vote in the general election by winnning in Dixville Notch, NH. Dixville has traditionally been the first voting to take place on election day with the polls opening at midnight. A practice that has been in place for 50 years.
Obama won the vote 15-6 in what is normally a GOP stronghold. Note, however, that Dixville Notch is in no way predictive of the outcome in NH or nationwide. Still, winning is better than losing.
Make sure you know where to go to vote.
