Romney tops McCain veep list
According to Mike Allen at Politico.com Mitt Romney is still at the top of John McCain’s VP list, even though John McCain doesn’t like him very much. If he picks Romney, I doubt Romney will have a Cheney like role in McCain’s administration.
Other folks on McCain’s list:
- Rob Portman, former congressman from Ohio
- John Thune, Republican Senator from South Dakota
Apparently, Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal has dropped off the list. Could be the exorcism thing, but who knows.
